The guide is suitable for 'USA' Window 2000,5.00.2195, Service Pack 2.
First, Please select it from the task bar:
'Start: Setting : Control Panel: Regional Options'
In 'General' tab, check 'Traditional Chinese' check box in 'Language settings for system'. Also, the button 'Set Default...' need to be pressed in order to set traditional Chinese as default lanaguage for application's dialogue/menu display. The system will installs the necessary files and components from Window Install CD.
If system asks to re-start after the above procedure, do restart it
please.
Then, re-visit 'Start: Setting : Control Panel: Regional Options'.

In 'Input Locales' tab, press 'Add...' button to add a built-in traditional
Chinese (Taiwan) input. Here the 'new phonetic' is chosen.
Make sure the lower left check box is checked for 'Enable indicator on
task bar'. Close this control panel.
Run Der Yi installer DerYi-win-2300.exe (in the folder DerYi-Win-2300 after being extracted from the package DerYi-Win-2300pack.exe).
Restart.
The following picture shows the installation is successful.
Launch an application (MS WORD, MS OutLook...). Use mouse pointer
to change the input method to DerYi by selecting the icon 'EN' on the task
bar. See the screen shot below.
The first time after the login/restart DerYi will pop up a window to show the initialization process. Also, it will ask the serial code (skip it for demo), e-mail address, and installation code (skip it for the first time; enter it when you receive it).
